LAND is thrilled to announce a limited-edition collection with Minneapolis-based furniture company Blu Dot. Blu Dot is a pioneer in the democratic design movement and winner of the 2018 National Design Award.

To celebrate the partnership, Blu Dot will host an event in its New York showroom at 79 Madison Avenue on Thursday, September 6th from 6-9 PM. Come check out the LAND Gallery collection and meet the artists while enjoying drinks and light bites.

LAND Gallery & Studio for Blu Dot "Real Good Chair"

The LAND Gallery & Studio for Blu Dot collection will include prints, a rug, a vase, and the iconic Blu Dot ‘Real Good Chair,’ featuring original designs by LAND Gallery artists.

The collaboration began when Blu Dot’s Co-Founders Maurice Blanks and John Christakos, came across the gallery’s Instagram account and were immediately drawn to the works and the organization’s mission. Focused on building a partnership that would give the artists a broader platform, the Blu Dot team then traveled to Brooklyn to spend time with the artists and hand-select drawings, sculptures, and paintings that could be incorporated into Blu Dot designs.

We believe that our audience will love this work, and the amazing artists behind it, just as much as we do. And we hope that we can help increase the financial support of the gallery and the artists by sharing the LAND story on a broader scale.
— John Christakos

Known for its modern aesthetic and original designs, Blu Dot offers an array of furniture, casegoods and accessories in high-quality finishes and materials, with timeless colorways, at an attainable price point. The company’s mantra, ‘good design is good’ carries through to this collection, which includes eight limited edition works that complement its existing collection.

The LAND Gallery & Studio for Blu Dot collection is available on Blu Dot's website and in select stores across the country through January. All profits will go to the artists and the gallery.
