LAND artists Raquel Albarran, Nicole Appel, Myasia Dowdell, and Christine Lewis will exhibit selected works in the Every Woman Biennial.
The Every Woman Biennial is the all woman and women-identified art biennial founded and curated by C. Finley. The exhibition began in 2014 as a wild, one-night, art and performance event celebrating women. It has since expanded to become a two-week exhibition. The Every Woman Biennial has grown to present over 500 artists. The show brings together women in the awakening of the #MeToo movement with art exhibitions, a NY film festival, and performances in NY and LA.
The Every Woman Biennial coincides with the Whitney Biennial. It's a loving celebration of art that creates positive opportunities for emerging women artists.
The Every Woman Biennial extends an open call to artists across generations and racial and ethnic backgrounds. The exhibition features a large scale salon of painting, photography, installation, sculpture, video art, textile, and multimedia works. Visitors will find performance, dance, musical acts, poetry readings, theater and film. We look forward to showcasing the unique perspectives of LAND’s women artists among such inspiring company.
