“Rudy” Bansraj (b. 1962) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Bansraj’s drawings invoke a sense of memory as his mark making conceals and reveals partial forms embedded in the work. Gestures of birds, animals, floral arrangements, and praying hands that emerge in his drawings invoke a familiar sense of mystery, contemplation, and reverie that parallels Bansraj’s relationship with the imagery.
